Though Hurricane Matthew, which impacted Haiti, killing more than 500 people and leaving 175,000 without homes in October 2016, has dropped out of global news headlines, the victims are not forgotten.

GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel singer Tasha Cobbs has used her influence to raise $10,000 toward the Haiti Relief Initiative.

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, on Instagram, the “Put A Praise On It” songstress, who last month hosted an uplifting evening of worship at Atlanta’s Suite Food Lounge benefiting Haiti’s families in need of medical supplies, shared the good news.

Cobbs, who is serious about fulfilling the Bible’s mandate to care for those in need, rallied together with special guest artists Kirk Franklin, VaShawn Mitchell, Isaac Carree, Anthony Brown, Jonathan McReynolds, Bishop William Murphy, Bishop Paul S. Morton and more, to be a blessing.

The 35-year-old thanked “every person who played a part in any way” in assisting Tasha Cobbs Ministries in their philanthropic efforts which, according to the do-gooder, “filled more than 40 barrels of medical supplies.”

The critically-needed supplies will aid the country which, aside from the most recent storm, endured its most powerful earthquake in over 200 years on January 12, 2010.
